Simple yet effective firewall to protect your connection
Comodo Firewall is a simple, effective and discrete personal firewall. It’s easy enough to use – no matter what your computer skills are – and displays very informative notifications.
Like any other similar application, Comodo Firewall filters all ingoing and outgoing internet traffic to and from your PC. The firewall must be trained during the first few days, so that it learns to distinguish harmless programs from potentially risky processes. In the case of Comodo Firewall, you can count on its large database – with more than one million programs – to expect a reasonably short training period and effective detection rate.
The interface in Comodo Firewall is clear and intuitive. It’s divided into several tabs (Summary, Firewall, Defense+ and More) which give you access to the program’s main functions. Both the security level and alert level can be customized, depending on the security you need – and also on the number of desktop notifications you want to see.
One issue we noticed, however, is the fact that Comodo Firewall doesn’t seem very good at remembering permissions. Sometimes it kept on asking about programs and connections we had already authorized before.
In any case, Comodo Firewall is the perfect firewall for novice users, thanks to its easy configuration and a user-friendly interface. Also, it’s much lighter on system resources than other similar apps.
Comodo Firewall is a light yet effective firewall which offers different levels of protection and is easy enough to use for everyone.

Best Windows Firewall.
Comodo Firewall is the best firewall free or otherwise. It has been proven to be the most secure firewall out there by firewall leak tests. You can even set it to training mode if you don't want to deal with pop-ups.My only issue with Comodo Firewall is the sandbox mode can cause issues with some perfectly safe apps.Overall I recommend Comodo Firewall to everyone. If your a novice user I suggest selecting basic firewall then set it to training mode. That way you won't have to deal with as many conflicts even if your sacrificing some security in the process
Pros:
Most Powerful Firewall
Training Mode Available
Free
Cons:
Sandbox Mode Can Cause Issues
Advanced Features Are Too Complex For The Average User More

Good Free Firewall But Not The Best.
Comodo Firewall is a good programme that keeps your PC protected from hackers. It has all the functions that a pro version should have and still its free. The Defense+ protects against new and unknown malware. But it generates too much alerts and it is highly difficult to use it.
Pros:
Keeps you protected against hackers
Defense+ keeps you protects against new and unknown malware
Cons:
Generates too much alerts and renders itself unusable More

A powerful firewall with small problems.
Comodo Firewall Pro is a very strong and highly rergarded and respected firewall from a company with a great reputation. This firewall is highly configurable and generally good for everyday use. I would like to note several things about though. First, it does remember exceptions rather well and norally don't have any problems with allowing things that were already alllowed. Its just very indepth and will alert at every little thing. Set to training mode for firewall and defense+ the first few dys or week. If you have the display ballon messages enabld you will see how much comodo actually goes through. When on the web it will even alert of websites you are connecting to that have a different IP address then he ones in its whitelist. Overkill if you ask me. It does have some problems with me where will allow a task and it will freeze eating up half of the CPU and then several minutes later complete the task several minutes later. It could just be me. Im using Vista Home Premium. It does work well however just be sure to enable training mode for both things when you start then try safe mode later. Overall a great and effective firewall. I also would like to note that this firewall isactually free. The only version you have to pay for is the Comodo Firewall Pro PLUS version. That version has all the same features except with avsmart. See their homepage to find out more.
Pros:
-One of the best firewalls that works with vista
-very configurable
-password protected
-training modes
-light on resources
-highly regarded
-alerts can be configured
-is actually free
Cons:
-eats up cpu when allowing something(not sure if its just my computer setup)
-can be intrusive
-a little unstable(again probably because of my computer, vista home premium)
